If that one comes through, we are up to $7,000 for next year, plus in-state status. It's awesome!

Excellent news!!
This has been many kids experience at USC,including mine.Get admitted, accept admittance and then the departmental stuff starts coming through!!
Get that S of yours some Gamecock gear!!!!

rumor mill has it that Under Armour deal is in the works, so I am waiting on that!

My wife has already told S, that the word Game has to appear in front of the other part of the nickname on all his stuff.

That's gonna be tough to find.

That was my initial reaction as well. I would only let her buy one that said Gamecocks on her first visit. There are actually many to choose from. Eventually I got over my initial gut reaction and let it go. LOL
She bought shirts and hats for her GC and teachers that wrote her recs and they all loved them. I think for people who grew up in South Carolina it's not even given a second thought, but for us OOS people it is a little shocking on first campus visit!

Yes, it loses its shock value after you visit the campus for more than 15 minutes. So my wife will probably get over it after she goes down there for Scholar's Day.

BTW, has anyone been able to find a schedule for that. S RSVP'd on line, but no schedule has come in the mail.

Dr Buell (CS Dept head) wants to meet my S that day, and I hope that can be fit in somehow.

Scholar's Day Schedule is online:
I don't believe a schedule will come in the mail. The full schedule is online, though. If you go to the RSVP site: www.sc.edu/admissions/reply.htm
you will find a link to click for the schedule. Then there is another link to a 16-page pdf file with the entire schedule (times, maps, etc.). The pdf file looks like a download of an actual agenda booklet that might be given out to the participants on Scholars Day.

thanks greenville!

My daughter received the invitation to Scholars Day in today's mail. It does not contain a full schedule and directs you to the link that greenville posted for details and to RSVP.
