<p>P.S. As I think everyone on here knows by now, the most number of freshman applications received by any school has historically been at UCLA (55,369 this year--and 70,328 if you include transfer applications and other semesters besides the Fall 2008 period). The most received by any private school has historically been at NYU (around 35,000).</p>
