<p>P.S. As I think everyone on here knows by now, the most number of freshman applications received by any school has historically been at UCLA (55,369 this year–and 70,328 if you include transfer applications and other semesters besides the Fall 2008 period). The most received by any private school has historically been at NYU (around 35,000).</p>
