So does anyone know of people who got the engineering letter last year that DIDNT get in?

I heard it was a very, very tiny percentage...basically, nothing's absolute yet. With that said, if you did get a letter, you should be in a good spot.

yep, i've never heard of a single person, and i knew many people who DID get the letter who were ultimately accepted.

Do you know of anyone that got the Engineering Likely letter but got rejected?

er thats the question i asked azure lol

As someone pointed out earlier, if a person got the letter and got rejected, they probably wouldn't still be lounging around the UCLA subforum T_T

They actually disappear from College Confidential entirely.

Thanks for the vote of confidence flopsy. I hope I don't disappear from CC entirely.

I was told that anyone who got the letter and did not ultimately get admitted probably had some UC eligibility issue that Admissions picked up on that HSSEAS did not. Very rare.

does anybody know about the school of arts and architecture. If a student was recommended by the department faculty for admission...can he/she be rejected by the admissions office for any reason other than UC elligibility issues?

hey notorious not to be mean or anything, but my thread is for engineering letters not arts and archi. if u need that make a new post

yea i figured...sorry about that.

Sonicboom - Whoops, my bad! Brain fart! I apologize :)

I knew about this engineering letter thing and how it came out a month before everyone else's letters...so i applied engineering...got the letter...and the next day transferred in to letters and science haha...probably wouldn't recommend that to anyone applying in the future. I just wanted to know early.

Yes...considering how getting into HSSEAS is harder than CofL&S. =/
