Anyone know anything about the Winchendon school

Can anyone tell me if they have any reliable information about the Winchendon School?

Looking but can't find any current reviews.

I am not sure what kind of school it is. What kind of student goes there? good for girls, boys or both?

It’s supposed to be the rival of Northfield Mount Hermon, right? So it’s gotta be in that “tier” of schools. I know it’s in a cold, snowy location of the state. That alone would be a turn off for me.

My son will be a freshman there this fall as a day student.

Winchendon is not a rival of NMH.

what is then? I think that’s what is listed on various websites I checked.
It’s not Deerfield.

I’ve had two students attend NMH and one of the deans is from Deerfield and for most sports at least, they are our rival. Game days vs. Deerfield are always a big deal and beating them is always of the utmost importance. Winchendon is not a “rival” but one of NMH’s stronger opponents in basketball. Academically, they are not in the same “tier”. Winchendon caters to kids who for whatever reason, are having trouble achieving their potential (states something similar to this on the website).

I work at The Winchendon School. My wife is the Academic Dean. We would be pleased to answer any of your questions. Also, the school website is [Browser Not Supported](http://www.winchendon.org)

Look forward to hearing from you.

keylyme, the official rival of Deerfield is Choate, not NMH.

JB, I
m surprised your school is w/out football program. I
m considering another school very near to you. They offer hockey and fb with a turf field.

Choate, might be the official rival, but believe me, there is a very strong rivalry between these two schools. It is a thing to witness.
