By now it seems that there are people who know the yield rate and can clear up some of the frustration and tension caused by the waiting. Can anyone
help with some numbers and if they will use the list at all????

Apparently we don't yet since not all the reply cards have reaced Pton yet.

Base on the admissions through April 1, they projected a 67.8% overall yield rate and a 52% RD yield rate to fill the targeted class size. They will look to the waitlist only to the extent they fall short of these projections.

Byerly, I am sure you probably have already posted it, but can you tell again what their RD yield was last year and if that projected yield you just listed for this year includes the extra spots they are adding?

I went back to find that they projected a 57% RD yield in their RD
acceptances and not counting the waitlist offers they got around a
47% yield last year. This year it looks like they split the difference and went halfway between last year's predicted 57% and their actual 47% and went with 52%. Wander if the reasoning really was that simple??
This means that if they get 47% again of the 1214 RD admits it will
leave about 60 spots for the wait list. Less than the 99 taken off the wait list last year because they admitted 176 more RD but are only adding 45 more spots. Hope yield is same or lower for those who are waiting!!

Has anyone tried calling them to find out?

I'm thinking about trying to call them tomorrow.

Good Luck Great Gatsby!! ;)

byerly - you've got an incredible hive of stats, just thought I'd say. Thanks!

Based on initial returns, the yield rate is 67.6%, close to the original projection. It may drop a bit if there is any waitlist action or summer melt.

yes Byerly, you are very good at numbers, fact, figures and analysis. Tou just become pain in ..... when you interject your feelings.

???? which of my "feelings" pain you?

Byerly, although I do not share your love for H I respect you for your
passion. I also thank you for taking the time to help other forums
with their numbers. I have found you wonderful, even if I do not
find H to be the same.

(mm, frankly, no one on this board was taken much with the way you (attempted) to trash alumother...one incident here:

Alumother is a bit full of herself and tried to gratuitously insult me. I don't take that stuff. I hardly go looking for fights with senior ladies, but I don't take gratuitous insults, either - even from senior ladies.
