Does anyone know what the yield rate this year is?

last year was 58%… but that is after Waitlists. Assuming 100% yield from WL, it was 55.5% ish. I did these calculations yesterday, so I’m just going from memory.

So I think this year it will be around the same, probably a final yield of 55-62%. I know thats a large range.

Here are some factors: A lot of people factor US News Rankings into their decisions… last year Princeton was number 1, this year number 2. It wouldn’t sway me, but a lot of int’l do care. The economy could make it go either way… Princeton’s FA is amazing, so maybe that will make ppl choose Princeton. However, with mid-high income families who are trying to be careful, as we’ve seen on this board, many may choose state schools.

Unfortunately the unwise decision to drop early admission/early decision I think poorly affected our yield. I was very disappointed when this decision was made. It gave us an edge clearly.

I call ■■■■■. I cannot imagine a Princeton grad choosing the screenname, MuffyTigerAlum. Honestly.

plus only 2 posts

Uhhh dropping ED DID negatively affect Princeton’s yield (by about 10%). Since when was stating facts you don’t want to hear considered “■■■■■■■■?”
