Anyone know which textbooks are used for Math 222 and Chem 109?

Pretty self explanatory... I would like to get ahead (especially with Chemistry), but I am not sure which textbooks are used. If it helps, the instructors are Dickey (Math 222) and Mahanthappa (Chem 109). Thanks in advance for your help!

Sorry, can't answer the question about textbooks, but I'm taking 109 with Mahanthappa too.

My lectures are MWF 2:25 to 3:15 perhaps we are in the same lecture?

I called about the 221 math class and supposedly it's a special textbook.

The math department took the regular textbooks and modified a few chapters specifically for UW.

So be careful when buying used stuff.

Sorry I know this doesn't help much, but whatever.

You can check the University Bookstore (ie the one in Madison, WI) website to find out textbooks and their prices for your courses.

Same here!

Hey, me three (same lecture)! Oh, and thanks for the tip about the bookstore website, wis75, I didn't think of that!

Check out the University Book Store for information about which text books professors use. You can pre-order, and they provide an ISBN number if you feel like bargain hunting yourself.

I had a friend who took Mahahthappa for Chem 109. I hear he's pretty good.
