I just want to know what people think. I know both are brand new buildings, but if anyone has seen these places in person, let me know what you think! I'm pre-leasing soon but i'll also be visiting in the near future.

I agree with jbeardiii, Vintage is WAY nicer and newer (I think it was built in 2009), and I had friends live there last year, so I was always there. I don’t remember what the rent was, but I know the newer places in West Campus are about $700-$900 per bedroom, which typically doesn’t include parking (which sucks).

This website has a helpful apartment search me and my friends used last year [West Campus apartments, UT apartments, apartments in Austin, TX](http://www.westcampusliving.com)

The last I checked Vintage is closer to the $900+ per month since it is so new. I live down the street from Galileo and it definitely looks nice from the outside. I believe that it is technically a condo building, so the units may be in better condition than Vintage just because of the different owners. (Campus realty offices don’t tend to really take care of their units as well as they should)

But! You may be in luck because Vintage is so new. If you can afford it, I’ve heard good things about 21 Rio. If you don’t mind being farther off campus, there are some really good complexes towards the back of West Campus that are about $200 cheaper than the places you are looking at now.
