Anyone majoring in Statistics?

Do you find your classes fun and interesting? If you've already graduated, what is your job title and what is your job like?

do you go to UChicago?
I think statistics is a very interesting major. But if you're not going to continue your education beyond a bachelor's degree, then I think a math major with courses in calculus-based probability and mathematical statistics would be better.

Professional Statisticians usually have a masters degree I believe. But I'm sure you can go into a variety of fields- anything where data analysis is an advantage.

I go to UIC.

I'm a little skeptical about the math major though, because I heard that some of the higher-level math courses are abstract. The major is only 41 hours, though, so that would be about 3 abstract math-based courses. I like my calculus classes and want to do something along the lines of that.
