Anyone only applied to only one college here?

collegehopeful why are you lying?

I am only applying to Harvard RD.

I know somebody who actually did that. And can you guess what happened...? He got in.

He's just joking around.

Anyway, I agree that applying RD to any reach is not a sensible action.

either he's God in human form or a very, very lucky guy. rofll

I am not lying. I am very confident in my abilities. I know my academic, personal qualities and extra circulars are superior to everyone. I would never say that to someone's face though. I am too humble for that.

Collegehopeful-- I would suggest that you get a list together of the schools that have rolling application dates. Even students as qualified as you may be are routinely rejected without a perceivable rhyme or reason. As you are a "Senior Member" of this forum, you should know that!

I only applied to Yale so far.
I think collegehopeful knows what he is doing.

i just didn't finish other applications once I got my EA decision from MICA.. threw the RISD app out the window. haha.

I only applied to Rutgers so far. I put all my eggs in one basket. I love the thrill of laying it all out on the line.

Only applied to one because there were only so many colleges that I even could apply to (early admission)

I only applied to UF. Goooo Gators!

a girl i used to be friends with in HS only applied to one school, ramapo, which is in NJ. she probably couldve gotten into a better college but i dont think she really cared. she always changed the subject awkwardly when we used to ask why she was only applying to one school.

I only applied to one -- and I was accepted!

my daughter's former boyfriend only applied to Ramapo too. It was on a tour and they accepted him on the spot. He could've done MUCH better, probably even an Ivy. His brother goes to Cornell, and that sort of stained the future of the other sibs, since the father didn't want to spend money on college after that.
He got a full ride, but at what price ?
He is not at all challenged there.

I only applied to one in the US, and one in Germany. I got into the school in Germany, and am having to be interviewed before they make a final decision at Marquette. (Because I was home schooled.)

Well if you're already in to your dream school, duh you're not going to apply anywhere else. I don't get the point of you asking. I only applied to one safety state school for personal reasons that included staying close to take care of my family.

Who said the college I applied as ED was my dream school?

isn't applying to only one college a bit too risky?

@ Deutsch

Yes, applying to one college is very risky. I do not recommend it at all, especially if you are applying to top-tier programs. It is always better to have a back-up plan if you do not get into your first-choice school.

I only applied to Wake Forest, but it was using their very early ED that you can apply as soon after junior year as you want. I applied about 2 weeks after and found out before senior year even began. But, I'm weird and have know I wanted to go there all of high school.

I only applied to Caltech. EA is awesome. :)
