Anyone Planning to Watch the Oscars?

I will watch because I love the jon stewart but this year the academy just messed up. hello? the constant gardner great movie... but not nominated where it should have been (besides rachel weisz.... who just won which makes me happy)

crash was a total surprise - my family and i went huh? when crash won 4 best picture. hoffman and witherspoon were expected, though.

no sweeps this year though. none won more than three.

All I saw was the opening... Stewart was kinda iffy, though the thing before he actually began speaking (with all the other hosts refusing) and the out-of-context "gay" cowboy clips were amusing.

i love jon stewart and i thought the audience didnt give him enough love...

("bjork couldnt be here right now. she was getting ready and dick cheney shot her.")

I loved it when Whoopi said "Aw, Hay-ull no!"

Crash did not deserve that. Brokeback should have won. After the Oscars, I had to watch Out of Africa to restore myt faith in the Academy.

I was happy crash won. I thought it was as a whole better than brokeback.Though this year was a tough year with all these nominations that were ...really good.
My faith the academy has still not beens restored since the noms came out though, and I've been watching the oscars since I was nine. I just...am not happy with a lot of of stuff. If you want to look at a set of nominations (noms only... not the winners) look at the BAFTAS. Great set of nominations in my opinion, and in the right categories.

as far as jon stewart goes.... I love him and the audience didn't give him a lot of love. He was relatively restrained too. Is it just me or did the voiceover in his little campaign for best actress clips sound like colbert?

I just saw the highlights on tv. No way was I staying up until 4 am to watch it. I don't care that much.

"It's hard out here for a pimp". LOL

why wasn't "Rent" even mentioned? It was the BEST musical made movie since Chicago.
