I have recently called UF admissions and they said that the term changes will be coming in soon , towards end of April . just wondering if anyone is waiting on a decision because i seem to know few fellow freshman that requested a term change. Thank you

I did. I requested a change from Summer B to Fall, and I got approved about a week ago! Granted, I applied for the change the day acceptions came out, so I got on it really early. You should get yours soon. Good luck! :)

that’s awesome im so happy for you lol , What did you list as your reasons and how did they notify you ??

Well, basically I told them that I have a condition that may require surgery this summer. I didn’t want to chance not being able to enroll for summer, or missing the surgery. To add on, I explained that my grades, GPA, and test scores more than qualified me for fall admission, and that UF was my top choice school. Guess it worked!

Omg thats awesome that they approved it again , and good luck on your surgery!! you will make another great addition to the Gator Nation :)))) im dying to find out lol i mean the worst thing they could say is no , but im checking my status everyday ahhahaha . Howd you find out exactly when they told you ??

i got a noob question.

Whats the difference between summer A and Summer B

[Any of the top Google results will tell you](<a href=“LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You”>LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You)

lol watwat, we should be friends.

They’re kind of like 6 week mini semesters. The difference is when they start/finish.

summer A is usually from mid May - June something
and
summer B is usually from late June/early July - to beginnings of August.

The exact days vary from year to year, and from University to University.

Arguing on the internet doesn’t force us to be enemies agrs[ixpfmkl b,m,dgtghthhh

lol I know, it was just another way of saying “i like you” :P

So what happens after your class’s are finished?
Do you just chill until you can transfer till fall?

Also if your accepted into Summer term
When do you start?

My son requested a change from summer B to Fall. He sent an e-mail saying he wanted to work and earn money at his job, which he’s been at for two years. They responded saying they would let him know in May if he got the switch. The following day, I happened to be on his Gator Link account and it said Fall! So I called to confirm and yes, they had switched him that day. Kind of bizarre, but it did work out for us. Guess he wrote quite an e-mail!

@hipster- like I said, dates vary. You’d hve to look up the academic calendar to see when classes begin for each individual term.

As for your other question, I don’t really get what you’re saying with the “transfer in fall” part. If you start taking classes in Summer B (for example) it’s because when you applied for admission you listed Summer B as the term you will start at UF. Summer A,B and C are semesters just like Spring and Fall. This isn’t “summer school” that anyone can take. For example, If you are accepted as a Freshman or Transfer for the Fall term, you can not take summer classes before hand. You can only begin at UF for the term you are accepted.
What do you do when classes are over? Same thing you do when fall and spring clases are over.
you have a break, about one or two weeks, and I guess you’d go home or w.e you normally do during your breaks.

I sent one yesterday, I hope it goes through and tat I am not too late. ):

UPDATE: My term got switched already. I went from Summer B to Fall 2012. I sent the request on Saturday and got it changed today, Monday. I said that because of the Florida Opportunity Scholarship I had no money to pay for the summer term, but I did have for Fall.
