Anyone see Avatar yet?

I thought it was an amazing movie, with a good plot. Could’ve been better, but I definitely got sucked in and it was great (saw it in 2D). I highly recommend seeing it.

I’m going to see it right now :]

imax 3D.

AWESOME, though predictable. Some of my friends found the arm-linked, cross-legged dance a bit suggestive.

Who thinks the woman pilot is insanely amazing??

ugh. me wanna see avatar now!

Saw it last night. I actually really liked it. The 3D is awesome too.

Saw it a few weeks ago.Really nice move, looking forward to seeing something as good as this one !
BTW, who did you support? The humans or the na`vi ?It may sound strange but I actually wanted the humans to win !

lantx pretty much hit the nail on the head. i really enjoyed it

^ seriously?! That hulky guy? I’m 100% behind the na’vi

Fern Gully meets Lord of the Rings, only I couldn’t remember any of the characters names afterward. It sure was pretty but I was underwhelmed.

It was absolutely one of the best films of 2009, in my own opinion. :P

it was GREAT. The visual effects were great. I didn’t like how, at the early middle, when they first entered Pandora, the plot felt really contrived. However, other than that, it was fabulous. Great plot, and AMAZING special effects. I sided with the Na’vi :)

Your friends have warped minds… I thought that dance was weird but not…suggestive.

^ It was definitely suggestive if you’re talking about their “mating” scene.

Btw SPOILER

The sequel will have something to do with their son/daughter

^ I was talking about the huge ceremony scene around that big tree.

Oh ok, well I’ve heard some other people describe their mating scene as the “crosslegged armlink” so I guess that confused me.

Space Marines + Smurfs + Belated, crappy political commentary = Avatar.

If you spend over a decade and nearly $500 million on a movie, it better not be some generic hero tale that’s been told a million times over with flashy CG. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what Avatar is. Cameron did a better job with Titanic, and that’s saying something.

I don’t know about that,
He did a fine job with Avatar, a project that began in 1994 in an article I read.
He has revolutionized the film industry, in a way I suppose.

Really? How so? I can see how someone would think it was entertaining. Maybe even good, if you’re not a film aficionado. But revolutionary? I don’t see how, he didn’t exactly do anything new.

The effects were spectacular, I can think people can admit that (as every review has).

However the plot was cliched (think: Pocahontas), the script weak, and some characters underdeveloped.

Given the amazing visuals, the actual story disappointed.

I was entertained…but it’s not too good…unfortunately. (It wasn’t bad, though.)

For some reason, it’s become a thing to hate on Titanic…I mean, it has not been one of the better Best Pic winners…but some people love to hate it…

Well not in terms of scripted plot,
but as in graphics and 3-D usage.

Yeah you’re right I am not a Film Guru,
But I do go to Rottentomatoe often; does that count? :P
