Anyone studying for finals over break but can't?

I have been trying to study ever since 1st week of break and haven't done anything. I open a book and it's like 5 PM so I just say to myself that I will study tomorrow but end up doing the same thing. I really need to do good on the finals for colleges too. =(

lol. I been doing the exact same thing; the experience of being conscious that you're procrastinating is horrendously stressful.

Jesus...

I accidentally left my AP World textbook at school. Lol. Oh well =)
We have 7 full days of school (review) before each final.. i think.

woot for cramming 6 weeks of ap psych into 3 days.
now to keep the momentum going.

Why do you all have finals after break?...

We have finals before, and I think that would make more sense. o.o

I was told by someone that you have finals after break because the semester will be too short if they are taken before. This means the 2nd semester would be too long.

So, kinda sucks.

Every year, I say to myself, "Gee! I have 2 1/2 weeks to study for my midterms during Winter Break! I'm going to spend all this time studying so I can be super prepared for exams! Go me!"

...and then I only study the last day or two of break. =/
I end up cramming the week before exams... wonderful!
BTW, my exams start January 20th.

I haven't even opened my backpack yet.

^ Same. I barely brought anything home. I have a few more weeks to worry about it though. Right now I have to get through 350 pages of The Once and Future King. I'll worry about midterms later.

Exactly!! I wanted to study for the January SATs during this break, but nope.. nada.

yup same here, gosh procrastination should be considered a mental illness

So glad that we have to take exams BEFORE break. AP teachers still assign tons of homework over winter break, but the rest of the time we are free to goof off all break. We usually spend all of December studying for finals and then take them and leave for break. I'd hate having to take them after break, I'd never study (not that I usually study either way).

We don't have midterms :p

Last year, we had our finals before break and basically everyone did worse on them than before, because even though we had a week of review before finals the teachers just finished up what they were supposed to have taught= disaster
So, uproar=finals before break. Besides, I hated the feeling of taking my finals and then just having a weekend and then well hello back to school!

ugh i have the same problem. i'm the worst procrastinator EVER. i haven't even gotten my backpack out of my car yet! i'm just kind of in denial that finals are happening, i guess. every day i'm like okay i HAVE to get this done today! then it just doesn't happen.
i hate knowing that i'm procrastinating!! it makes me really nervous/uneasy/anxious or something.

i have the same problem.. book is on the table but im on CC

I said the same thing. Nothing really happens when I'm on break. It's really sad.

I tried to study, and I really really tried. But the only thing I have done in the past 1.5 week that was studying related was to dig up my calculus folder and pull out all the useless paper. Yep...

I always ended up doing all the studying the night before, which really sucks for AP classes.
300+ pages per subject * 2 subjects per night = Lots and lots of coffee
