I heard that if you take English and Math classes during the spring semester will affect your chance to get into UCs. It is basically because they only look at your grade before fall and most of the UCs care about English and Math classes A LOT. My current GPA is 3.7 and majoring in Communication. My number 1 UC is UCSD. I took my first English class and Math in fall sem, but I still need one more English. I plan to take my second English class in spring sem. Anyone knows if that will affect the chance I get accepted?? Anyone got accepted to UCs and took their English class in spring sem before transfer?
I took the minimum math requirement in the spring semester before transfer and was accepted to UCSD for computer science. Not having your math done is usually the dealbreaker for some UC’s. It should be fine if you’re taking English in the spring. It’s definitely a positive that you knocked out math in the fall
