Anyone taken MBA-level accounting?

Hi, I'll be a rising junior for Fall 2010. My pre-enrollment is April 12-14. I am going to take an accounting class next semester. I have two options: either take AEM 2210 (financial accounting) or take NCC 5500 (MBA-level financial accounting). NCC 5500 is for non-Johnson students. As a rising junior, I am able to sign up for that class. I have not taken a college-level accounting class before, but I did take high school level accounting. The reason why I am interested in taking NCC 5500 is that, once I finish this class, I don't have to bother accounting again. The stuff on NCC is pretty intense. AEM 2210 would obviously be easier, but I don't know if I should challenge myself.

Anyone here have taken NCC 5500? Would you mind to share some experience or give me some advice? Thank you.

take AEM 2210. it’s required for an AEM major - unless you’re not an AEM major, but then again - you should probably take the undergrad class anyway. financial accounting is only the first in a series of four intro/general accounting classes offered (fin acct, managerial, intermediate acct 1 and 2). then you get into the more specified accounting classes based on specialization.
