Anyone taken/taking both AP Euro and World?

I've already made a thread asking about what AP Euro and AP World are like, but I think I can get a better comparison from someone who has taken both. Can anyone who has taken both the AP Euro and AP World courses tell me about their experiences with the courses, which one they thought was more difficult, more homework, harder AP test, more interesting, etc.

Thanks.

took both. ap world is pretty much ap euro + some of the colonial expansion of the european empires + some other stuff. I took both exams and got a 5 on world (self study, without studying for it) and euro(4)

Which do you think was more interesting? Euro or World?

I am taking AP world. To me AP world seems a lot more interesting as it deals with more broader issues while European history happens to be very detailed in context. I guess it depends whether you like analyzing broad events around the world or like more region specific work.

euro was much better because of the intrigue of court politics

world is more like a broad sociology/history course

I took both AP World and AP Euro sophomore year and made fives on both tests; taking both at the same time really complements the study of each, in my opinion. Having the AP Euro knowledge to back up your AP World knowledge is awesome, as you can definitely show in depth knowledge on the AP World tests if you get a European question. The AP Euro test is much more difficult, however, than the AP World test, because it tests your knowledge of more specific details. The AP World test only tests your knowledge of broad time periods and trends, and is much easier because of that. Also, I thought AP Euro was more interesting, but that's definitely a matter of personal opinion.
