AP European History

Now that I finished AP World History, I'm debating on whether to do AP Euro next year. For those of you who had done it, was it difficult (as opposed to APWH or APUSH)? And which textbook did you use? Thanks in advance!

I'll give you my take:

There is a lot more information to remember than in USAP. However, I don't think the test is quite as detail oriented as USAP is.

I personally have found Euro AP to be more interesting and enjoyable than US AP (even if it is a bit more work). Whereas it feels like US AP was all political history, there is a significant amount of philosophy, art, and science in Euro AP.

Another thing to remember is that the curve may be a little nicer in Euro AP because most of the people who take it are Sophomores.

I took AP European History as a sophomore, and it's been my favorite class so far. I thought all of the subject matter was really interesting, and I didn't think the test was overly difficult.
I believe our text was the McKay Hill Buckler, fifth edition.

i took AP euro this year. My test is this friday! prays But yeah, its a pretty interesting course, more interesting than AP US would prbly be.

I tried to take AP European history this year after having taken APUSH my junior year. I dropped AP Euro at the end of third quarter. Too much reading. I didn't do well enough for the amount of work and reading I was doing. But it was kinda interesting. I didn't really enjoy all of the political crap. I liked the cultural stuff though... but yeah... I dropped it.

at our school...theres no world history, Euro can only be taken soph year, APUS junior year, and apgov/econ senior year. go with euro and not APUS. euro is more general and therefore its all thematic. in those types of classes...everything is just common sense, you dont really have to study, etc
