so i got above 720 on my sat I writing, and want to take the english proficiency exam so i don't have to take eng comp 3. i know the test will be jan 12, but i was wondering what to expect. it's probably going to be some type of on-demand essay, but can anyone tell me anything more specific?
and how hard would you say it is? do many people actually score in the "superior" range?(which is what i need to get)
thanks

You don't get passed out of eng comp 3, you get placed into eng comp 3

yes, you can pass out of eng comp 3

from an earlier thread:
The only ways to complete the writing I requirement are:

1.) Score of 4 or 5 on the College Board Advanced Placement Tests in English
2.) Score of 720 or better on the SAT II Subject Test in Writing and superior performance on the English Composition 3 Proficiency Examination
3.) Take English Comp 3

and the english proficiency exam is NOT the same as the Analytical Writing Placement Examination, btw. (they're given on the same day, just don't want people to get confused)
