Is anyone taking this exam? My school doesn't officially offer it, but I took lang. last year so I'm in an "independent study" for lit. this year. I feel really unprepared. =/ Any advice from people who took this exam last year? Does anyone just want to commiserate with me? ;-)

I’ve been preparing for 2 years. I am fluent in the language, but I have almost no time with school and work. Anyway, if I were you I would review the reading list (including summaries, and rereading poems). Be able to translate and define literary techniques. Everything in Spanish.
But, I’ll be taking it next year.

yay someone else! i really hope the third essay isn’t on lazarillo de tormes…that’s the only one i basically skimmed… hopefully it will be ok though!

I’m so sick of that class. My teacher assigned massive reading (we had to read like two acts of some 17th century play per night) and didn’t explain anything properly, I had to rely on English translations and Google translation… gags

D and her very, very small Spanish 6 class(AP Spanish Lit) will be taking it. D has had a very intense teacher the past two years…she got a 5 on spanish lang, and I’m sure she’ll get at least a 4 tomorrow. Awesome teacher. Majority of class was native hispanic speakers, but D had an easier time than most of them! It’s a tough, tough required reading list.

that sounds great…i took AP spanish language last year as a sophomore after a semester abroad in argentina and am just doing an independent study for spanish lit this year…what do you think the essays will be on?
