I'm taking the plunge and doing about 30k per year for Stern. I've decided that the opportunity is just too good to pass up, especially as a Stern Scholar.

Im taking out 20K+ in loans per year

Do you guys think its worth it to take out this much for Stern?

feel better , I'm taking out 35k =]

agghh!!! Are you guys Stern Scholars? I want to go ahead and make friends with the people who are going to be in as much debt as me, so I don't feel alone.

haha you can befriend me...i paying for pretty much all if it through loans

The only thing that can keep me from going to NYU now is if Emory de-waitlists me and gives me a ton of financial aid.

30K for Tisch (just a 20K Tisch Scholarship), although my parents might cover some of it (probably not much).

The Tisch Scholarship better be "renewable." I found an old post that said the CAS one was, so I assumed the Tisch one would be too.

Edit: Err... I meant need-based, but even then that doesn't really work because the scholarship matches up with my EFC need, so yeah, I didn't mean to say that. >_> I was basically just saying it for the next comment about renewable scholarships. If it's not renewable, which everything I've seen indicates it is, NYU could totally screw me down the road because I'm not sure (because the scholarship covers my EFC need at the moment) what they view as my need.

Yo.....scholarships ARE financial aid. That is 20k of financial aid.
