Anyone transferring Fall 09'?

Just got done applying in November, transferring from Grossmont College. Just wondering if their are other Fall 09' transfers out there. Share experiences, info. : )

I am. Hopefully I'll make the GPA cut, I'm taking quite a large load and I'm barely over 3.0. I think I got it though. I'm transfering from Mesa College.

You going for transfer housing?

I applied as a transfer for the Fall 2009 semester with a 3.86 GPA with 75 credits amassed. I am coming from a community college out of state so it will be very competitive for me due to the California community college first dib's preference/other California schools (articulation agreements). Then second preference is saved for UC transfers (other UC schools). So with this being said I am last on the list. However my stats are good in my opinion.

Stats = 3.86 GPA, worked at a neuroscience lab, advertised and marketed for a sports company, participated in Hurricane Katrina gives back, tutored math/chemistry, camp counselor, and all of this was during my college yrs. The only thing is I haven't been in school for two yrs. since summer 2007 due to financial hardships/family reasons, but what I did with my time off (listed above should definitely help me significantly).

Please give me any feedback! Thnx

That's pretty badass, kinda like applying from highschool put probably harder.

structural engineering transfer for fall 09' (in-state cc)

KKIIJI:

I'm thinking about doing the transfer housing, I know they are just starting to offer it Fall 09', so we would be the first people living there. Pretty cool. Just depends on how much it is. I'm transferring as a Poly Sci Major, 62 transferrable units, 3.4 gpa, TAG agreement etc. How's that for sliding in under the door? haha

I actually feel kind of bad for the out of state people, it's way harder for them to get in. But then again I'm a San Diego native, I deserve it lol...

Yeah I keep on hearing about how expensive and not worth it, but I still wanna check it out. Being the first in the building sounds pretty awesome.

Haha I messed around a bit and am going to end up with like over 100 transferable semester units, I think only 70 will transfer max.
