In my UCSD (false) admission packet it awarded me with the cal and pell grants as well as work study. I also had some money from a “UCSD Grant”, but I still seriously screwed myself out of potential money that will allow me to attend. Now I’m just waiting if UCB will award me with perhaps a bit more.

I’ve been on a furious hunt for scholarships that are still open. They’re spread far and wide though!

4.0 Poli sci major igetc done and i still think i have a 50% chance because i only had club treasurer on ec’s at the time and my essays were meh

I applied (4.0, Applied Math), but I have no desire to go to Berkeley. Prestige is not the main factor in my personal college choice. BOO BERKELEY :)

Yeah I suppose it is. In the end I guess it depends on how you want to spin your ethical approach, as well as how you view the UC/college system in general.

yes its basically my dream school
GPA: 3.73? i think? got 3 B’s, all in math [Calc 1 (during HS at CSUF), Diff eq, and Linear Algebra] it might be higher but im not entirely sure cause i have a mixed record.
Major: Chemical Biology (in the college of chemistry)
Pre-Reqs: all but two: 1 not offered anywhere near me, and the other a 3rd semester of physics, not required but can be used to satisfy graduation requirements
IGETC: No
Personal statements: probably slightly above average, but still nothing spectacular
EC: None, just working

as you can see my GPA/Stats aren’t the greatest or the most competitive :l but i can at least hope

My daughter received an email this morning from Berkeley requesting more info about her gap in college classes (she took two college classes in 11th grade, then none first semester of 12th grade)…which means they are reviewing transfer applications…

3.63 trying Berkeley’s statistics major… Getting all A’s in math classes but anthro&poli sci ruined my gpa
Sigh…does anyone think ucb care more on major GPA?
