Whats up guys, theres about a week left untill I find out if I got into Berkeley but I am dieing and I cant sleep a wink untill I find out. I recently got accepted to UC Davis but the only school I am interested in is Berkeley. Here go my stats.

I have 61 units completed thus far with an overall GPA of 3.85 at Glendale Community College in southern california. My major is a very crowded one, Psychology. The GPA for my pre-req courses is 3.85 as well. I dont have any SAT scores since I was told transfer students dont need this. Also, I recieved three B's my first semester at GCC. After that it was all As , I even took 18 units at one time and got all A's.

I have many many EC'S. I volunteered at the public library, a homeless shelter, and the geriatric psychiatry ward at Verdugo Hills Hospital; all through my Health and Science Academy program at my high school.

I was one of twelve basketball players chosen to represent sourthern california at the nationals tournament when I was 12 years old. I also compose music and have an album for sale on amazon under the alias a-jon. I also designed my own website using macromedia flash mx.

I have constructed a hip hop studio in my basement to help artists record thier demos. I have worked all my life and have been involved in sales, telemarketing, fine dining, and I currently am a vendor for various fragerance companies at different department stores.

I have mentioned all of this in my personal statement. I have also begged God every single day since I sent my application to get accepted in UC Berkeley. Please be honest and kill the suspense for me guys. What are my chances of getting into UC Berkeley? Thanks in advance.

thanks for the replys , uc davis has sent out thier decisions already, ucla and uc berkeley said they will release thier decisions online may 1st. so my chances are good? Even for psychology thats highly impacted? thats the main thing im worried about .... the fact that i chose such an impacted major but i wanted to study something i love and it is the perfect middleground for medicine and law. once i finish my B.A , I can finally decided if I want to go to law school or medical school. any more thoughts guys , on my chances? thanks a lot and I will be sure to let you guys know.

thanks a lot for the link its in my bookmarks but really i cant do ANYTHING right now , my minds sole purpose is to get as much information as possible on my chances at UCB , i have been reading the threads on this forum for the last couple hours, i wish i had found this forum sooner? i am sooooooooooo worried that since my major is impacted my stats wont hold up even though I have great EC's. any transfer students want to post your stats which allowed you to get into berkeley, thanks again guys.

relax...whatever happens will happen :)...I'm also awaiting a reply from berkeley on may 1st (appeal reply)...just don't think about it right now...but in my perspective, you look very competitive. Plus, I assume you have California residency so that's a plus in getting into any UC. Good luck!

yes i am a california resident, i wish i knew today , for the last week i really havnt been able to sleep. I keep asking myself did I work my ass off in college for nothing? because i could of went to ucla or any other uc right after high school, so if i dont get into berkeley i would feel like i wasted my time in college. im so worried that i picked the wrong major since its highly impacted, any psychology transfers here? words of encouragment =)

good luck! i too will hear from cal on may 1st(appeal), but looking at your stats i think your chances look great for uc berkeley, esp. as a transfer. i think UCs give priority to community college transfers over 4-year university transfers, and you seem like among the best of the c.c. people with your really high gpa etc.

thanks you guys, your all awsome and you guys know that we ALL have probably the best chances because look at us, were on a forum online talking about it, we care and that will reflect on all of our applications, i hope you all get into your favorite schools, i will let you know if i get in
