Hi. I applied to the University of Notre Dame about 2 weeks ago.
On its supplements, in which you identify the department and the program you want to enroll in, I chose pre-professional studies (pre-med, pre-vet, pre-dent). Did anyone else do that? Also, knowing that Notre Dame does offer a specific pre-med program, I chose pre-med, biology, and chemistry as my 3 academic interest under the "future plans" section. Will I have any problem becasue of the way I chose? Thank you for the help.

No you won't. Notrde Dame Al recently posted this to a similiar question i had as yours,

"It does not matter what major you list--you are grouped into the First Year of Studies program. The only difference is if you are interested in Engineering; you have to take an Intro to Engineering course along with the other required First year of Studies courses. Try going to the Notre Dame Home Page and looking at the First Year of Studies page. It should give you all of the info you need. You can list an intended major on the app for admission, but it is not going to affect your admission. Eveyone starts out in First Year of Studies. You do not declare a major until Spring of your freshman year and even then, you may change. Notre Dame is unique in this way--the program gives you plenty of op to discover what major you are interested in w/o penalizing you during the admissions phase. (I know some colleges expect you to apply during admissions to a certain dept based on your major and if accepted, it is sometimes difficult to change-ND is not like that!"

sorry i don't know how to quote things haha
