anyone want to chance me?

hey--sent in my EA app at the start of november and i'm pretty anxious to hear what my chances might be...!

GPA: 3.54 (unweighted); 4.05 (weighted)
SATs: Rdg-710; Math-610; Writing-670
ECs: varsity track (4 years), JV soccer (2 years); varsity cross country (2 years; captain sr year); president of academic club; job as a ski instructor; other smaller ECs

also, i missed out on the opportunity to do the ammi hyde interview. will that have a negative impact on my chances?

thanks for the help and good luck to all of you!

Yes, you definitely have a chance!!! Do not worry. Your SAT score is above their middle 50% range, and you have pretty good EC’s (and leadership in it as well).

SAT Reading: 540-640
SAT Math: 550-650
SAT Writing: 520-620
Composite: 1610 - 1910.

An interview won’t make or break the college’s decision, so don’t worry about that.

I would say about a 75%-80% chance.

You’re definitely in even though you probably already did by now haha.

You should be fine. DU isn’t a terribly difficult school to gain admission to. The campus was more academically competitive in 1950 than it was in 1990. They’ve done a lot to improve the overall academic competitiveness, but you’re still talking about a school that admits the significant majority of total applicants. The pool of applicants they do get are academically solid, but there isn’t enough depth in that pool for them to get too choosy. Plus I’m not even sure if they’ve reached their target undergrad enrollment yet. This is a school that has increased total undergraduate enrollment by ~65% over the past decade and a half.
