Anyone want to guess the 2009 test curves?

Post what you think the curves are for the various AP tests after you take them. Or, just post your thoughts about this year's tests in relation to past years

I think the curve for Statistics might be harder, being that the FRQ were possibly the easiest to appear in years.

Gov curve will be harsh. Prolly 50+ MC for a 5 and a majority of the FR, since the FR was relatively easy too.

Calc AB will be pretty good, since almost everything thought the test was hard or at least challenging at parts.

Are we possibly looking at low 60’s total score for a 5 here?

Calc will be an easier curve, seeing as many thought it was hard…

Stat and Gov = CRUEL. Both were easy
Especially the government exam, the MC were ridiculously easy…

Which calc?
What do you think a 5 will be for BC?

The curve for BC is usually more generous that the curve for AB.

I found the calc to BC to be fairly easy, a lot of AB calc stuff that a Bc student should easily get.

I would go with probably mid 60’s for a 5

Could it possibly be as low as 60?

hopefully stats won’t be too much harder, but this year’s frqs were really easy.

bc will probably be mid 60s, and i would assume that it probably wont go lower than 63 or so. After all, the released tests have all had 5s at around 65, and its pretty stable.

Dang. I think I barely missed a 5 then.
Oh well. =/

I thought BC was fairly easy and so did a bunch of the other kids in my class (and no, we didn’t make stupid mistakes or fall for tricks that made it seem like it was easy). I’m guessing the curve is going to be somewhat harsh, like upper 60’s to low 70 (71ish).

^Hum…
I’ll expect a 4 then.

Everyone at my school thought Calc BC was pretty brutal, especially the FR, and many said the MC was easy. I’m hoping for around 66/108 or 67/108.

AP Calc AB:
mid 60’s.
If the AP graders were generous, I hope it would be a score where I can earn a 5, like a low 60, but that’s moderately unlikely.

mid 60s?
I’m a bit confused about curve. I know on the 2008 one which was easy, it was 66 for a 5 and on the 2007 one which was hard, it was like… 78 or something, or am I wrong?

*AB Calculus

mid 60’s? How sure are you about that jerrry?

i don’t know. I got mid-60s from other people and from 2003 exam curve. Fine. my estimation is 70.

78? Isn’t that high? i know that in the 1980s, the score was around 78 to get a 5, but the FR questions were more computational than conceptual, I believe.

eh mid to upper 60’s for a 5 on AB or BC.

I feel bad for the kids whose schools require only 5’s thank god I only have to get a 4.
