Anyone watched any good movies this winter break?

Bringing Up Baby - A classic, how could it not be good? It was adorable and sweet.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - It annoyed me that the movie was so similar to The Confessions of Max Tivoli (a book) but gave it no credit. It really has nothing but the premise in common with the Fitzgerald short story, and even that has been changed to be more similar to Max Tivoli. Maybe it's an accident, but it sure doesn't look like one. Anyway, I don't like Brad Pitt (though I love Blanchett) so I liked it less than I would have otherwise. Too long, definitely not as good as many make it out to be.

Gone With the Wind - Do I really need to say how awesome this movie is? I think we all already know.

I desperately want to see Slumdog Millionaire (I love Dev Patel from Skins!). And I think I'm going to see Rachel Getting Married too.

millan, SO glad you also watched gone with the wind! though i didn't like how they romanticized the south (i know that's part of the book, but still) it was still quite an incredible movie. vivien leigh is superb. tried watching the "sequel" movie, "scarlett" which was terrible because scarlett in that movie was nothing special, just another woman.

omg, somebody other than me watches skins?! i love chris and maxxie lol.

Bodies of Lies: why is Leonardo Dicaprio always the same guy? (i love him though)

I really want to see Che when it comes out!

And galestorm I watched Skins, although I got tired of it after 5 episodes :(

Oldboy 10/10
Fight Club 10/10
Yes Man 4/10

Dark Knight again
Pineapple Express
Bits of the Fisher King (theology assignment)
Fahrenheit 451 - as usual, the book kicked the movie's $%@

7 Pounds- I actually really enjoyed this one. A bit predictable, with a bit of confusion, was pretty good.

City of Ember- I have never read the book, so about that aspect I have no idea, but I though it was pretty good. The ending was a little anticlimatic, the plot line was deffinatly directed to younger watchers, but I enjoyed it. I had actually never heard of it. My mom wanted to go and see it and I wanted to avoid homework.

I liked "Valkyrie," even though I knew that the conspirators wouldn't win... sigh

And I also watched "1776," which is an insanely awesome movie if you're a history nerd. Check it out.

^ I saw it performed live when I went to San Fransisco last year. I like the movie too. I had to watch it in middle school history.

I just watched I Am Legend.. really good.

A Clockwork Orange was so interesting.

I watched "Children of Men" and loved it. It kind of reminded me of "1984", not sure why, though

equilibrium was pretty good.

oh, and i own the Dark Knight if anyone wants to come over and watch it with me.

I saw Seven Pounds. I thought the acting was rather mediocre and I don't like sad movies to begin with, so it wasn't exactly my favorite.

Bridget Jones' Diary 1 & 2
Love Actually
Pride & Prejudice 1995 BBC Version

... all of which feature Colin Firth, lol. He's extremely gorgeous.

I just saw The Devil's Advocate yesterday. It was pretty entertaining. I also saw Gone in 60 Seconds a couple days ago; I hated the guy who wore sunglasses at night! People who do that are soooooooooooo pretentious!! Or blind

Slumdog millionaire was super nice. i also watchedddd tekkon kinkreet, virgin suicides, darjeeling limited, and something else..i cant even remember, but i own them so i sorta slept through a lot

GRAN TORINO.

No I didn't watch it, but now I want to extremely badly. Ended up seeing Valkyrie which... didn't put me in too good of a mood at the end of break, just put it that way.

i just saw Role Models <--- freakin awsome

Vantage Point, would've been better if my mom didn't kvetch everytime they re-wound. It felt short too.
