is the ground floor a basement? How is it living there? social life vs Broward? anything i should know?

Former ground floor resident here. It is a basement in a sense. The building enters from the front on floor 1.5 (if I remember correctly), so you have to go down a flight and a half of stairs to get to G. There is a back entrance that goes right into G floor though (there are even some parking spots right outside, which is very handy).

I can’t comment too much on how it is vs Broward, since I never lived in Broward, but I can say that it’s very social. You will know just about everyone on your floor if you make -any- effort at all (and maybe even if you don’t). When I lived there people would leave their doors open sometimes while just playing video games or watching sports or whatever. Rawlings was good times. However if you’re on ground floor, you should know that there is no “girls side” to the floor, which is pretty lame.

There is a hidden little weight room on the 1st (I think) floor. No nice equipment or anything, but if you wanna get in a quick workout without having to go all the way to SW or racquet club then it’s pretty cool. Also when I lived there, 3rd floor was the party floor.

thank you! It seems so hard to get info from online about the dorms. Are the other floors coed or is it just the third floor?
