Hi! I'm really considering Broward for Freshmen year. How close is to the library and dining area/classes? I'll be a bio major so studying will be important...I plan to do most of it at the library. Also is Broward a good choice, what about Rawlings? I'm looking for a social dorm where I can meet lots of people and also for something relatively nice. Thank you!

Bump please!

I live in Broward right now and it’s great! It’s literally directly next to Broward Dining, which usually has pretty good food. It’s not far from the library, and it’s really social!

Is Rawlings hall as social as broward hall?

Awesome, thanks uhmazingmallory! How are the bathrooms?

Broward is definetely the most social dorms. It definetely has the highest percentage of Greeks in anydorm and you will always find people hanging out in the lobby after a night of drinking and partying. Its right next to the Dining Facility and as they said close to the Library and classes. If you wanna study, you can study pretty much anywhere as long as you’re disciplined. It is not nice at all though, but hey, its college, so its not supossed to be. You get used to it.

Rawlings, where I live, compares in niceness to Broward and is right next to it. It is still fairly social, but not as social.

I would recommend one of these two, especially Broward, due to their location/social qualities

Broward is def an animal house. If you REALLY want to socialize, then Broward will give you that and then some.

Just be warned, it is literally the rowdiest res hall on campus

DS is looking for a social dorm and has heard that Broward is the place to live for freshman. It is not open for Summer B so he is considering Rawlings instead.

Here is a question:

If you get housed in Rawlings for Summer B and you have the option to stay put for fall in the same room (don’t have to move out and back into another dorm), would you stay in Rawlings or move to Broward?

Thanks everybody. I’m still not sure. I definitely don’t want to end up at an animal house where I won’t fit in.
