@anna: thank you so, so ****ing much. <3<3<3<3

I’m so confused. I get about ~27 credits for my AP tests but only three of them are listed under “AP Exams Satisfying UC Eligiblility Pattern” on the “My Exam” page. But if i look at my “Review” page, the rest of my AP exams are listed as satisfying the pattern (I know courses are there too)…

Btw they spelled “eligibility” incorrectly heehee (on the “My Exam” page)

@wwlink

since when did UCM not matter??? theyre pouring tons of money into that school to make it competitive quickly…

people have no clue what theyre talking about.

blah… davis tags will be out in a few hours… i need to sleep…

btw if i dont tag to davis ill be jumping off the golden gate bridge sometime in the next week :(

maybe we can organize a group.

@kc20cali:
I thought Davis TAGs are coming out Friday morning? But if it’s today I will go crazzzy!

@aninstance:
that’s because on the “AP Exams Satisfying UC Eligibility Pattern” section on the TAG it is only talking about the UC Eligibility requirements which i think are as follows:

two UC-transferable courses in English composition
one UC-transferable course in mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning
four courses selected from at least two of the following subject areas:
Arts & Humanities, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Physical & Biological Sciences

Yeah I thought it was just irvine today (based on the transfer center list posted a few pages back… It was right about SB)?

still nothing from Davis…Blah this is killing me.

Yes… I thought Davis was releasing TAG decisions friday…

I just got an email from my counselor that had the schedule of release stuff. The dates someone posted earlier in the thread are correct, but they obviously aren’t necessarily going to say whether or not we got in.

@yah all the posts are just gunna be the same as ucsb i bet. UC Riverside gave out approvals and rejections because they had a different deadline then the other uc’s i think

I have a question which I sort of know the answer to but it’s been bugging me. I tried looking for similar forums but didn’t find anything…

Let’s say my TAG is accepted at UCSC (my first choice).
I want to apply to an engineering major, either computer or electrical, which are impacted if I’m not mistaken. I’m not going to bother getting into stats but I know I am not very competitive as an engineering transfer. Not to mention I am missing some prereqs. My only hope is a TAG.

Soooo, assuming my TAG was accepted, do I get gauranteed acceptance into the university but just not into the major? Do I have to petition or something once I transfer to get into that major?

OR, can they flat out reject me even though I have a tag because of my low stats and missing prereqs?

@RockLobstar: Most, if not all, of the UC campuses guarantee you admission to the college with TAG approval but not necessarily the major you chose.

This happened to my friend last year with UCSD… His TAG was accepted and applied as a Human Biology major. However the school told him that he would not be admitted to this major and if he were to transfer to UCSD he would have to transfer as Undeclared.

With that being said, it is my understanding that most TAG applicants with TAG approval do indeed get their first choice major.

Hope this helps

Aren’t the only ones that aren’t gonna necessarily state if we’re in or not are sb and sd?

@TonyPreMed2013: Thank you, thank you, thank you! You have no idea how relieved I am! I couldn’t find a definitive answer anywhere. You ROCK!

Who said Davis was coming out today?

“blah… davis tags will be out in a few hours… i need to sleep…” - Today, 01:29 AM

Yeah but who told them that? I mean what’s the source that everyones getting that from

Hi everyone I am also one that is stressing over all this, I did hear back from UCR on friday and SB, and I got the same email. My dream school is UCSB and waiting until the spring for their answer is gonna make me yank my hair out. =( This is so stressful.

Last time I checked mine are still under review…
