I was wondering if anyone knew when we learn if we are accepted into our majors (from the UCSD TAG), because the TAG only guarantees us into a school, and not a major.

@anandrenga2001: Unfortunately we will not here any information regarding official acceptance or major choice until March/April when the official acceptance letters are mailed out.

does anyone know if its okay to write a personal statemen for psychology even if we are majoring in biopsych, because SB is the only one that has a biopsych major… and UCLA

I applaud UCD’s integrity in giving out actual decisions, thus allowing everyone to be able to adjust their plans accordingly. It was such a relief to receive an acceptance, especially after UCSB’s non-answer a couple days earlier, even though UCD only has my secondary major. The fact that there is even the slimmest possibility that I could find out my UCSB TAG decision after Berkeley’s April 30th decision date makes me wonder–I mean, really?

Incidentally, the UC application hinted to this: on the Academic History section, there is a page regarding community college programs taken that are connected to UCs, such as the Starting Mentorship Program at Cal, TAP, and TAGs. Note that you can only check off UCD, UCSC, UCR, and UCM’s TAGs if you were actually accepted! UCSB, UCI, and UCSD are selectable without acceptances and had been since October, when the UC application was open; we were never going to receive acceptances to any of these schools until next year.

Congratulations to all of you who have TAGs accepted, good luck to those of you still waiting for decisions, and get to work on your classes and your class schedules for the next (and hopefully last) semester at your CC!

What reasons would TAG deny someone? aside from not having all your units done, not doing assist, and not maintaining the GPA they want for your major & in general. What other reasons would there be?

@hurryupUC, one of the reasons would be having too many units from a four year college and community college combined. for example, UCD has a 80 unit cap. and UCSD has a 90 unit cap.

I’m just excited as you are! me and my girlfriend are planning to transfer together! hopefully we get Tagged to UCSD… that would be great! Please UCSD let us both in!
