Just checked my TAG page and I got a response from UCSD too! I had been checking my email, but had a random need to just check the page, and there it was…ha! Pretty stoked right now.

Yay. Got the same. I wonder if anybody got the “other” letters. not hoping anybody got it, but just wondering if they exist :S

Oh no! My TAG did not get approved for UCSC. They said my GPA is does not meet the minimum. That doesn’t make sense, I should have like a 3.09. It’s low, but still above a 3.0. Also, none of the other UC’s said my GPA was too low. All others, except Davis, accepted my TAG App. Even Davis said it wasn’t accepted because I didn’t have all of the pre-reqs, not because of my GPA. I am so bummed right now! Could this possibly be some kind of mistake? Do the UC’s calculate the GPA differently? :(

UCSD is tripping, they didn’t send us the emails. ITS POSTED THOUGH

UCSD’s decisions are out!!

Dear _________

Thank you for filling out the UC Online Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) for fall 2011. We’re glad
you’re considering UC San Diego for these next four significant years of your life!

First, you’ll need to file your application for admission to the University of California before the end of the
filing period on November 30. Don’t forget to check the 2 boxes you need as a TAG applicant:

1. UC San Diego TAG
2. IGETC

You must check both boxes!

After you submit your UC Application online, we’ll send you an email confirming receipt
and letting you know about next steps.

Second, make sure to complete any remaining requirements for TAG. If you meet all conditions for
TAG, your admission to UC San Diego is guaranteed.

As a transfer student, you’ll want to learn about your major early on and complete as many
lower-division preparation courses as possible before transferring. Learn more about major
preparation on the UC Transfer Admissions site.

Remember the deadline to submit the UC Application is November 30, 2010.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Is there anyone who got different letter other than this one?
I got this one, and I was wondering if there’s rejection?

^ I got the same response from UCSD as well.

I guess it’s better than a flat out rejection, but I feel like they told us what we already knew about TAG - “if you meet requirements you will be guaranteed”. Well, duh.

I just want to know if anyone got the ‘rejection’ letter. I feel like it would validate the crap they just sent out a little a more…LOL

i got the same letter. but is completing ALL PREREQS on assist.org a requirement??

I got the same letter from UCSD as everyone else is getting. Kind of puzzling. I guess it is an approval letter?

Davis came right out with it in bold font: Congratulations, _______! Your fall 2011 TAG has been approved.

In at UCSC and same general email for UCSD!

Everyone check all the decisions that were previously made! I had gottan a congratulations email from Riverside and I was curious and checkec again and it said it had not been approved after they had already said yes. So I’m so confused now, I called and they said that none of their counselors were in and they would call back. This is so stupid, why can’t they just let us all in already. By the way having to wait for UCSB’s answer until the spring is driving me insane.

Mine are all fine.

@rocklobster. i dont get it. what uc’s did you tag with? which ones were approved? which pre-reqs did you not have with davis? thats fishy because you dont need your major pre-reqs done till spring of 2011…

wooop!! got the UCSD TAG. After getting denied from davis tag (for reasons that were false i.e. I did finish all English requirements unlike what they said ;p ), it feels very good knowing i have a backup.
I believe this IS A TAG ACCEPTANCE letter because it says:

"Dont forget to check the 2 boxes you need as a TAG applicant:

1. UC San Diego TAG
2. IGETC

You must check both boxes!"

So, if you check the UC San Diego TAG, then that means you are TAGGED. =]

sandybox, dont trust the emails! I don’t mean to be rude, I just don’t want you to get your hopes up. Last year, UCSC sent out congratulation emails to transfer students, mistakenly. I believe UCSD did it a few years back too. Just be cautious…

well looks like im doing okay.got TAG for Davis and conditional TAG for Santa Cruz.some how got rejected by Merced.waiting on Irvine,Davis,Santa Barbara, and San Diego.but overall,i think ill take Davis.

do you guys know where the IGETC checkbox is on the UC application? i can’t seem to find it. i can only find the TAG section

^ Ditto - I can’t seem to find either? Where is the TAG section?

I cant even find the TAG section where is that?

the TAG section is after you list all your courses you took
