Nothing from Davis yet here. Anyone know when UCSC is coming out?

That sucks. I was really waiting for today, but the day isn’t over

UCR approved.

YESSSSSS i got into UCR too!

it is my safety, but knowing i have somewhere to go if all else fails feels AMAZING!

i’ve been checking the tag website every day!

congrats to my fellow UCR acceptees, and good luck to all of you still waiting!

@Roadrunner same here!! I was sooo looking forward to this… hopefully next week…

i’m really upset that there’s nothing!

blahhhh.

why does it take sooooooo long?

They borrow people from the DMV to do the admissions process in their spare time.

I hear they also use USPS employees.

So my UCR TAG application was denied and I’m not really sure why…It can’t be because of a GPA, course or unit requirement as I am almost positive I meet all of them. All my college coursework was taken at only one California community college as well. I am confused. Good thing their offices are closed for the weekend so I have no way of finding out until Monday yay…Oh and in case anyone is curious as to what the denied message looks like:

Dear Paul,

Thank you for your interest in our Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) and the University of
California, Riverside.

After a detailed review of your application, we have determined that you do not meet one or more of
the minimum TAG criteria.

Please contact us at your earliest convenience to discuss your application in detail.

We wish you continued academic success as you complete your course work at the community college
and we look forward to seeing you on the campus as a UCR student in the near future.

well obviously call them when you can. other than that theres not much you can do. you’ll most likely get in during the regular admission period, so i wouldnt worry too much…

i am stunned. i have a 3.82 and i will have finished all prereqs and my tag to UCR did not go through…

@raymondloi why did it not go through?

i have absolutely no idea. i will have completed every course. IGETC certified. completed 71 units. i was planning to take the spring semester off and maybe thats why? but even if i took classes i had nothing else to take

Thanks for all the well wishing everyone! I luckily eased my nerves with a glass (or 3) of wine and tried to ignore the subject tonight.

We have now 2 days before we can hear anything else as I doubt they’ll be acceptances rolling out this weekend. However, I will still be checking like a mad woman just in case.

Hang in there. Round 1 is done for me, 2 more rounds to go.

@raymondloi having 71 units is maybe the answer to why you were rejected to the tag program, have you checked the requirements? any ways, you can still apply without tag

Yeah i was thinking you need less than 60 units, but I cant verify it for myself so I dont know what the problem could be. The next thing that comes to my mind is, did you previously attend a 4 year university? Even so, I just found its 90 semester units or more to be considered a senior transfer, in which case TAG would be denied.

i thought the requirements were a minimum of 60 semester units. so we needed between 60-90. and i have 71… and i have only been to a community college

Dont worry!
Im pretty sure youll get in trough regular admissions.
should have applied to ucr so I could get accepted lol
still waiting for UCSC, Davis and Merced!!!

question for those who got approved: did you all finish every prerequisite? and which major was it under??

I am a womens studies major. There are no classes articulated for other schools for me, so I am basically just filling up my unites with transferable classes.
