Anyone's tax returns received??

Eyelykemaths, actually this monday they asked me for verification sheet too. I already mailed in like almost two weeks ago. But i mean if they asked you first for missing document, is it like a hint? because why would they bother a person who got rejected? but again, i have no clue at all.

they say they haven't gotten my verification form yet. But hmmm, I thought IDOC included the verification form because I sent it in my IDOC... :P
Guess I still have to resend it?

MIA6, They only "asked" when we called if i needed to turn in anything else, but I hope you're right about a "hint"! lol

real talk.

i'm being neurotic as hell, but what if they never asked me to send my verification form? Is this a bad sign? i only knew to send it cause i checked my tracking

That's an interesting point about the verification form. But from what I gleaned the financial aid department and the admissions office work completely separately. There have been stories on this board that the financial office will contact you for information even after you've been rejected.
And about them not receiving your documents. Just call them up. That is what I did when everything appeared not to be received. The lady just manually checked them for me and told me everything was in. She ais they are just behind on processing.

I looked on Columbia's site because I haven't been asked for a verification sheet and got a tad worried. I found this:

"Verification Worksheet is missing:
Your FAFSA has been selected at random for Verification by the Department of Education. We are required by federal regulations to verify the accuracy of the information reported on your FAFSA form. In order to do this, you must complete a Verification Worksheet."

So it has nothing to do with decisions because not everyone is asked for a verification sheet. At least, that's what I got from that paragraph.

no i meant the fact that they didn't notify me to tell me that i had to send them a verfication was making me wonder.

I think everyone here is getting very sensitive of things happening this week. It could be a hint or not. Yes, and theoretically admission office and financial office should work separately, but since on April 1st, they have to mail all packages for the admitted students, the financial office has to get ready for those people's financial packages, and if the office has to process everyone's financial package no matter if they get admitted or rejected, don't you think it's gonna take forever, and as several people have pointed out, when they called, the office was always saying they are little behind. just imagine processing all the applicants' financial packages no matter what, they are not going to finish this week!
