AoPS!

Hmm, so if i take the AMC 12 right now I'll probably get just decent maybe an 85 or something. I'm hoping to bring that up so i can qualify for the AIME this coming February. Will the AoPS: Volume I prepare me enough to receive a 100+? Also, about how long on average does it take to complete the entire book with a few practice problems per section? Will finishing it within 4 months be "too rushed" a process?

One more questions. My SAT-M score is ~600 right now; will completing the AoPS book help raise that to ~730-800?

Thanks a lot guys!

AoPS has math that is waaay more difficult than SAT math.

What is a point on a line?!?!?!?!!??! @>?!!?

WHy sir!!!

a point is That which has no part!!!

thee **** yo?!?!?

Someone clearly forgot to take their meds.

1) Volume 1 does not cover all the material on AMC12. Though you could probably still get a 100+ with it.
2) “a few practice problems per section” ??? You need to do the problems at the end of each chapter to really learn.
3) Four months is not too rushed.
4) If you can do AoPS/AMC level stuff, any standardized math test becomes trivial.

^^lol .

generallyrong, your user name is frightening, haha.

Anyways, thanks. Anyone else want to contribute please?

Frightening???!!! ;)

well i don’t know but you’ll probably have fun with it
