So, so far i have 3 ap classes for next year: AP Physics C, AP Calc BC, and AP Lit. Probably little to no work will go into AP Lit, to be honest, and I'm very good with math/physics so studying for Physics C and Calc will not be that bad (and we have one of the best calc teachers in the state). I have an empty class that i have to fill and AP Art History came into the picture. Do you guys think it's a good idea? Is the material interesting, and how time consuming is it to study for? If i were to self-study the exam, would i have an incredible amount of difficulties? Thanks.

I’m taking it next year too. Many seniors warned me there’s a lot of work but the class itself is quite interesting.

I took AP Art History this year. I guess the workload really depends on your teacher, but be expected for a lot of work in most cases since there’s a LOT of material to learn. The class itself though, is really interesting because you learn so much about other people’s cultures, religions, lives, etc. through their art; plus you get to study both Western and Non-Western art (although an emphasis is placed on the Western art, of course).

You really have to express an interest or at least some semblance of appreciation for art, however, or else the class will bore you to tears. It’s not an easy A, but you will definitely get something out of it.
