I was just urged by the current AP Art History teacher to take it next year since i did not initially sign up for it. It is historically known as a very rigorous course and I am already taking AP Calculus, AP Spanish, AP English, Chemistry and Anatomy next year so I took Psychology for one semester and Discovering Foods(home ec) for the other semester and kept a study hall. Now though I am reconsidering my decision and am just wondering how much of a difference this will make with college admissions if i take it other than the two semester classes?

Uh..well with that schedule I wouldn't recommend it. It was pretty easy for me but it required large amounts of memorization and studying. If you don't think you can handle that, then don't take it.

My daughter is taking AP art history on top of 5 other AP's. I think it requires more work than all the other courses combined and has definitely made for a stressful senior year. I don't know that it will make any difference to the colleges unless you are trying to get into HYPS etc.

I think i could prolly handle it and for college i'm just trying to get into the best school that I can get a full ride or substantial aid in and I'm sure it couldn't hurt!
