I'm picking classes for senior year and I can't decide what the best option for me is right now. I have 3 years of Science right now and AP Biology seems like the logical fourth year, but I've never liked science nor do I intend on going on into it in college. AP Psychology seems like a bit more in my area because it's a social studies credit, but in order to take both AP Bio And AP Psych, I need to drop Newspaper.

Newspaper isn't exactly a challenging class, it's not an AP, but I think I might be editor next year if I continue in it, so wouldn't it be a good thing to keep?

I'm not exactly sure what I want to study in college, but I dislike math and science, and I love writing and social studies/history.

What's my best option? I know taking 4 years of core classes is good on a transcript, but it is really that important if I'm substituting classes that are important to me and exceeding some credit requirements as well?

You shouldn’t assume that psychology is more in your area just because it counts as a social studies credit. I’m not sure what exactly you’re into, but psych really is its own category and you can’t really compare it to the typical social studies/history.

It depends on the level of colleges you’re applying to, but 4 years for core classes is really standard for most schools. Do you just take Newspaper because you like it? Hopefully your ECs reflect this and show not only a passion for writing, but also some sort of accomplishment/merit.

I’m guessing it might be possible to take AP Bio (or a difference sci class) and Newspaper? Because that’s the route I’d go if possible. It’s hard to tell without your schedule/credits laid out. So bio and newspaper are 2 sem and psych is 1 sem?
