I'm planning to take the AP BIo exam next year and i think self-studying with barrons + PR is good enough for most of the Multiple Choice questions, since its just memorzing the facts.

But when i take a look at the free response questions on APCentral, its just soo hard. I mean, i don't think memorizng all of Barrons and PR would help me get good scores on the free-response.

How did you guys prepare for the free-response questions?

Ace the SAT II through massive studying, then self study the AP a year later.

I didn't practice free response questions at all. I think really didn't need to, though, because they were pretty easy to answer within the time limit.

It's really easy to BS the free response questions. If you post some here or PM me I can give you more info.

Yeah, check out some of the student responses. The grading on FR seems fairly lenient as well. However, I highly recommend cliffnotes AP bio for AP bio.

I wouldn't call it JUST memorizing. It's a lot of understanding, too. Like just understand the association between different terms. Crop, gizzard, stomach - all have similar functions within various organisms.

Basically, don't memorize in isolation. Learn things in groups - then it's less memorization and more association.
