Ap Bio Or Ap Chem Junior Year?

thx everyone

What did you choose?

Do AP Bio because you are better at it.

Don't worry about which class is easier to get an A in - that's a bad way of looking at it. You should take the class you enjoy more and feel more comfortable with.....it's all about how much you learn. You'll get good grades as long as you learn the material well.

btw, I'm doing AP Bio junior year. I took chem honors and the teacher I had did not teach us anything. Basically, she gave us a book, and let us do the rest.

I have the same dilemma. I spoke to my counselor and she said AP Chem is a VERY time consuming class. The last time I have had any Chemistry instruction was in middle school.
I took Honors Biology my sophomore year and had a 95%. I don’t really care for one science over the other, but from what I have heard AP Chem and AP Bio are difficult. I hope to get straight A’s next year [since I got straight A’s last semester] so what class should I take?

Schedule:
-AP SPANISH LANG (I am a non-native speaker)
-AP ENGLISH LANG
-APUSH
-AP ?_
-Honors Pre-Calculus
-Academic Decathlon

EC’s:
-CSF Vice President
-Link Crew Leader
-Key Club
-FBLA
-Interact

GPA/Rank: 4.3/(18/830)

I would suggest taking AP Chem. That way you won’t have to waorry about the chemistry involved in the AP Bio curriculum senior year.

AP Chem was pretty stressful for me, not gonna lie. I had a similar schedule to yours (add AP Physics C) and I managed. AP Bio should be easier, though.

You’re sorta screwed either way, but if AP bio is your skill, go for that. Both are super different: bio is memorization on high, chem is a mix of memorization and math. Getting back on a teacher’s good side is easier than getting a teacher to teach better. And if you’re in a regular chem class, you might have more annoying people than in an AP bio class where everyone is willing to learn, so he might be nicer?
