<p>Alright, I'm down to 2 choices now: AP Bio or AP Chem.</p>
<p>I will be taking one of these as a freshman. Right now in the summer, I am taking a 5-week Chem Prep course designed to help AP Bio or AP Chem (mostly AP Chem though). However, if I decide to do AP Bio, I will still have to learn Bio 1 outside of the Chem Prep course. I would like to know the following things about each course:</p>
<p>AP Bio: What is the best prep book? What are the major changes to the test (from 2013)? Should I take this after/before Chem?</p>
<p>AP Chem: What is the best prep book? Are the new changes to the test (implemented spring 2014) drastically different? What are the changes? Will I be prepared (if you need it to help me decide, I will list the topics covered in my course)?</p>
<p>Overall, which do you think is "easier" for a freshman to handle?</p>
<p>Woah woah woah, you’re a freshman and you’re considering a science AP? I don’t like discouraging people but is there a specific reason you’re taking this freshman year besides the fact you want to take an AP? If not, take one of the two (or both if you’re ambitious) soph year after taking a Bio and or Chem honors class.</p>
<p>That being said, If you already started that chem course and half way there, I guess you might as well take AP Chem, but if you haven’t started, just take the class freshman year and take the corresponding AP class soph</p>
<p>Almost everyone in my year takes 1 or 2 APs as a freshman (pretty crazy area…). But the good thing is I’m interested and actually want to take AP Bio or Chem.</p>
<p>AP Bio has a lot more to learn than AP Chem, But the Bio exam is more based on understanding the concepts and has lots of passages to interpret. Still the Easier Exam for a freshman to handle is AP Chem for sure, has a lot more straight forward questions.</p>

<p>I would say if you’re not a hard worker. AP chem would be easier. There are just too much memorization in ap bio… trust me man, just go with ap chem</p>
