AP Biology Exam Study?

Hey. Does anyone know any useful books or online websites to use to study for the AP Exam? Or, is it just better if i self-study using my teacher’s notes? Also, I am aiming towards a 5 on the exam. How should I approach the exam? I would love if any people who already got a 5 on the ap bio exam would leave tips. Thanks

Barron’s is great. I’ve heard there is a TON of memorization involved, so get on it!

I highly recommend watching the Crash Course Biology series on YouTube. I pretty much spent the weekend before the exam watching every video on 2x speech and taking notes over things I didn’t remember very much. Also, I used 5 Steps to a 5. I had a Barron’s book, but it was super wordy (I didn’t finish it) and had SO much extraneous information. Your time is so much better spent on Crash Course or 5 Steps. I never read the textbook, just Crash Course and 5 Steps got me a 5.

I disagree with @Anish14. The old, pre-2013 exam was very memorization/definition based. The post 2013 exam is completely different. It’s conceptual, and similar to the ACT science section in that it has long reading passages with questions that require basic bio knowledge.

EDIT: in case it wasn’t clear, I took the new Bio exam. The restructuring changed a lot of things so any pre-2013 knowledge is pretty much useless.
