AP Biology from outside course

For some reason, I won't be taking AP Biology in high school. Rather, senior year, I'll be taking AP Physics. I know this looks bad, especially when applying to a BS/MD program, but I was wondering if I could make up for it by taking the course some other way, either through one of CTY's distance eduction courses or at a local college.

How would this affect my chances?

it won't look bad, especially if you took a similiar class somewhere else or if you demonstrate strong mastery of biology via research. You could also take the SAT II biology test (if you're ready), in order to show that you're not weak in bio. In any case, AP Physics is a solid course that the med committee won't look down upon.

As long as you have taken a biology course you should be fine. Some people don't even go to schools that offer AP Biology (like myself). By the way, which BS/MD programs are you applying to (I am guessing you are a junior?)
