Taking a summer course at a local college before senior year?

Hey so at my school, the only two AP sciences offered for senior year are AP Bio and AP Physics, but I can't take both because they are scheduled at the same time.
I'm probably going to choose AP Physics because the teacher is good and I'd like her to write my rec for me.
Problem is, I know bio is important for going in the science/med field (which I want to do) and plus, I need to take Bio SAT II (I only have 2 SAT IIs so far), so I'm thinking of taking a bio course over the summer at a local college and then taking the SAT II in October.

Will taking this course over the summer look good on my college app?
Is this a good idea? Has anyone done it before + if so, was it hard?

Sorry if this has been posted somewhere already, I couldn't find a thread for it haha

Thanks! :)

My question is what about a college course would look BAD…

Do it if you want to; it’d probably be useful, especially for your SAT II.

I’ve taken over 15 dual enrollment courses. It’s a great opportunity to learn about college in reality, have real professors, and get a good feel of college life. This will look good on a college app, esp. if your SAT scores are high. Taking a DE course would never look bad, just more supplemental. Know that some DE courses are easier than high school classes and vice-versa, but it depends on the professor and college.

Have fun.
