AP Biology self study

I searched the boards for a similar question and couldn't find one sooo....

AP. Biology is offered at my school, but I got a B and can't take it. Would itbe okay to selfstudy for the test in May? How would colleges view this if I score above a 3?

thanks guys :]

It's reaaallly hard just for warning.
But yeah, should be fine to register for.

thanks anyone else? specifically on the question: How would colleges view this if I score above a 3?

why cant you take it?

the prereq is an A.. I got a B so I can't. The reason I really want to take it is because I want to enter medicine.

Uh here's the thing:
it's a LOT of information (more memorization than anything), but you should be able to pass with a 3. Because AP curves are so forgiving, you shouldn't have too much of a problem passing. I would suggest starting to read Cliffs Notes AP Biology 3 months before (soon) slowly and digesting all the information and then using Barron's note cards to make sure you understand all of the concepts. Honestly, a textbook isn't absolutely necessary for Bio, so just use Cliffs and absorb every bit of information.

if u are good at memorizing things go for it.

I literally memorized cliffs and got a 5.
go for it.

thanks guys :] I have a free period in my schedual that I can use

read campbell cover to cover and then memorize it by heart :p
