AP Calc BC Change of FR percent of total grade

I just found out that the FR percent of total grade changed to 50%. You can check this out here: http://apcentral.collegeboard.com/apc/public/repository/ap07_freeresponse_direcs.pdf
Does this mean anything?

It was always 50%, wasn't it?

I thought that it was, but I don't know. Also, the links says that answers "algebraic or numeric" don't need to be simplified. What exactly does that mean? If I evaluate a definite integral and end up with 6 fractions or so, I can just leave them like they are?

yeah, you dont have to simplify at all on the FR. you can say "sin(pi/6) + tan (0) - sqrt3 + 5" If you simplify wrong, you lose a point, or more. When you are done doing calculus, you are done. This is not AP algebra. At least thats what they say.

Wow, that's awesome. It's usually during some stupid operation (i.e. adding fractions) that I make a mistake, so I feel like popping out a bottle of champagne right now. Hopefully I won't have to use an answer as a part of a later problem.
