@kimmylou same question

average rate of change is just slope/secant line
f(b)-f(a)/b-a

average value is 1/b-a times the integral of f(x).
a is your lower limit, b is your upper.
most of the practice frq’s I’ve done have explicitly asked for the average value of (whatever) on the interval.

Thanks. I know what they mean. I know the formula involved. But when I see a question, I don’t know which to use.

i’m sooo nervous =(

What are you guys practicing from right now?

So this was my teacher’s first year teaching this class, and it went horrible.
I mean, I can understand a bit of a rough first year, but a lot of what she did really had no excuse. In other words, I’m totally screwed for this exam.

I’m watching as many integration and application videos as I can. Maybe I’ll get lucky and pull a 3. I really hope I get a 3 just to maintain my dignity. I’ve never failed an AP before.

:(

^Ouch. Best of luck on the exam.

^Same here. Good Luck Everyone!

Good luck guys. :D

Good luck everyone! :)

omg im scared

I was feeling confident earlier, but kinda nervous now. I reviewed by doing the 2011 Form B FRQs and didn’t do as well as I hoped. Does anybody know if that form is unusually difficult or is it pretty typical?

How was it guys?

My opinion: First 28 questions had hard questions every here and there. I know the material, but I had a problem with the time (stupid proctor) and I stressed so much that I couldn’t think properly. The rest was not bad.

Hehehehhh DANG DONE ALREADY… WHAT.
NOT EVEN IN THERE YET.
Well, going in cold for several months without Calculus BC–finally reviewing the basic formulas right now and hoping to pull a 5. Yeah, I’m an arrogant loser, but Calculus is my thing and that while everyone’s studying, I plan to problem solve instead of memorize the problem steps.

Think I got a four, sadly. MC was kind of easy. There were a few trick questions but I don’t think I got too many wrong. The FRQ’s were kind of difficult though. First two I barely finished and missed one section in each part I think. The next two were the two hardest ones and then the last two were easy.

Probably the easiest test I’ve taken in my life this morning

not even kidding

All the previous exams had more difficult FRQs, and the multiple choice only had one or two slightly interesting problems

Anyone want to get a discussion going?

Sure.

For the differential equation FRQ, did you get something like y=ln(2x3+6x+4x-4)? And tangent line to that was like y=-3(x-1) and then the linearization was y=-3(1.2-1) = -0.6 or something.

I agree, Stronker, this year’s exam was ridiculously easy.
