What kind interesting about the AP Calculus FRQ’s compared to AP Statistics is that each year, the questions are similar. You know you will see a area/volume question, riemann sum question, particle question, ftc 1 & ftc 2 question, slope fields question and then a random question: maybe related rates or table question using the derivative rules. Last year they did throw a curve ball and put a related rates question.
I agree with the above post. They are very similar each year.
Hi last-minute calculus crammers! Does anyone know what the HARDEST CollegeBoard released AP Calculus AB FRQ Set is? I want to do some last minute cram
@paatrickkim, my calculus teacher believes that 2015 was the hardest year yet.
Hi everyone,
What do you guys recommend doing for last minute cramming? Is the Rea Crash Course book good?
Two and a half hours til our test starts
Just got out of the test. Oh my lord those FRQs messed with my brain. The MC section also seemed pretty difficult to me (did anyone else end up getting a bunch of bs and cs in a row near the start?)
I love a good potato.
Yeah… FRQs were all kinds of interesting. MCs weren’t that bad, and the calculator part was actually pretty easy. I feel like I got a 5, but maybe 4, depending on if I understood the FRQs
Those were very weird FR questions haha
I mostly found both the MC and FRQ questions easy. But what the heck was up with that potato problem?!
Oh, well, a poor score on one question should still lead to a good score overall.
I agree that it was overall easy, but they presented some of the FRQ in ways that they’ve never presented them before.
This was a nice test. I agree with you^ it was very different from the way they were presented in the previous years.
It seemed a lot easier than the ones from previous years!
Same. The mock test we took was horrible compared to this. The MC’s were super-easy (between both parts, there were 3 I was not certain on, 1 of which I had to actually guess on). The FRQ’s were . . . decent. I ran out of time on the last one because I forgot the second particle’s velocity, not displacement, was given and had to rework the last part of it. Overall, I thought it was pretty easy compared to what I was expecting.
My general solution to the differential equation was messed up, and I did not have time to rework it. I had to guess on two multiple choice because I ran out of time, but everything else I had figured out.
I think the multiple choice was easy and the FRQs were hard. Yes, that potato problem was terrible
Really? The potato one wasn’t that bad…
Oh btw did you guys circle your FR answers?
@IrrationalPepsi they used to be similar ;(
