AP Calculus AB

Hey lets start a chat room?????? Where and how guys?

I remember trying to do that with the diamond equal but I kept getting the same answer.

So does anyone know the lowest score ever for a 5?

What were the previous cutoff scores for a 4?

thorps517 - By saying getting every MC right I meant getting all the ones that he DID answer correct, in which case it'd be a 4.

I personally LOVE slope fields because they're honestly so simple and elementary to me. It's all basically just easy busy work you have to do that really doesn't take that long; I don't understand why people are saying that they need a calculator (I've never needed a calculator to do a slope fields problem). Oh, and the one that was on the actual test was incredibly basic and REALLY didn't need a calculator (it was something you could do in your head; it took me less than 30 seconds to do).

noncalc mc, skipped none (or is it 1... oh shoot i didn't even check how much i skipped? i barely had time.)

skipped 3 on calc mc (it went by so fast. and then i stumbled on a few. i had all these time but i just sat there miserably because i couldn't do those few)

i actually thought the FR is okay. moderately borderline doable. until everyone else in the school was screaming otherwise. maybe i just have low expectation.

but i'm scared now that i actually screwed up big time but just dunno that

now i'm screwed for AP Physics.

I f'ed it up! My score was a 5.....

...

...

...
minus 4

=p

anyone wanna chat?..aol chatroom AP CALC AB

i thought the non calc MC was tricky, calc MC really easy, and FRQ hard, but doable. when i first looked through the FRQ, i was like "what the hell???" but if you think through each question, it actually makes a lot of sense.

Yatta's number for '03 is slightly off. Here is a table for that year's score ranges: http://www.skylit.com/calculus/news.html

64 is the 5 cutoff for BC not AB. However, AB was pretty close at 66. 66/108 is only 61%. We should get something similar or possibly better this year.

so based on the 03 exam, i should get a 3 just on my multiple choice, and with my few points on the free response, it should bump it up to a 4, which i am VERY satisfied with. especially since the 03 exam was extremely easy compared to this exam.

The MC was pretty normal, all stuff that I've seen on practice tests and previous tests. The FR was so hard that some guy had a seizure during that section, and I wasted about 5 minutes staring at him >_>..but I did get through everything except one part of some weird question that id never seen before.

how do i enter a chat room ?

I did all the CB practice FRQ's from the last 3-4 years. Today's FRQ's was totally unexpected...

Yah that seizure was pretty intriguing...more so than the free response anyways...

yah I did the previous tests too...I think CB is trying to screw with us purposely

Yes, I'm sure the FRQs were very doable and perhaps easy if we thought them through ... but when you're under time constraint and you see something rather unexpected, you tend to spazz out instead. XD (or in my case, anyway)

And the 03 cutoffs ... 47 for a 4?? That's insane o.O too good to be true XD

yes.. lots of spazzing x_x;

My impressions of the test were the same as everyone else's. MC was ok, skipped about 10 problems; some confused me but I was confident on a lot of them.

FR? That was pure hell. I got little bits and pieces I think ... but I'm convinced that I (probably) started off in the wrong direction on a number of problems, which sucks.

Fortunately, it seems everyone else in my class and on these forums thought the same. Curve please? : )

Was it really that difficult?
Meh. Maybe I was overconfident and missed a lot.
MC - Pretty simple, I skipped one throughout the whole thing.
FR- Not terribly hard, but not easy. It was okay. 2 days and we can all find out how we did on it, haha.

I am pretty sure that I got all correct for FR #1-4, and 90% of #6. I went to sleep after I couldnt figure out 5 and had done 6, only to realize 2 minutes before the exam finished that 5 was SO easy...scribbled something for a few of the questions on that one, and knew exactly how to do the rest, but unfortunately time came : ( Looking at the FR answers is not going to make much of a difference, because I am pretty sure that the calculation parts were correct..
